Susan has a deep love for her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. 

He is the Anchor of her life and the foundation from which He has called her to serve others. While raising her children, Susan loved volunteering to help those in need. She supported women at a local pregnancy center, advocated for vulnerable youth as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (C.A.S.A.), taught high school students, and served on the Women’s Ministry Board at her church. By God’s grace she has devoted her life to encouraging and uplifting those in need.

 

 Writing My Faithful Savior is another extension of that calling. The Lord gave Susan the title of this book more than twenty years ago and she saved it in her heart until He revealed to her, “It’s time to write.” 

By God’s grace and step by step, she put together pieces from her memory and diary entries to share a beautiful testimony of God’s sovereign hand moving time and again when her son, Nathan, served in the United States Army at the height of the Iraq war.                             

 

Susan presents a vivid picture of her faith being tried and tested as she clung to God and the  promises He gave to her concerning her son’s life. It begins with the pregnancy of her first born and follows his life to the end of his military commitment to our country. 

 

Whether from a military family or not, Susan hopes that her book gives readers a fresh

perspective of God’s presence and power in this age, knowing that with God, nothing is impossible!

 

It is Susan’s fervent prayer that My Faithful Savior will encourage the faith of all who read it, especially when held in the hands of every military mom bidding her son or daughter farewell, as they leave to serve our great nation.
